Category: agent Group: linux Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: paul beard (paulbeard) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: agent doesn't provide same data on some hosts as on others Initial Comment: I have a bunch of systems running SuSE linux and net-snmp 5.2.1.2. I was querying the date on several of them to verify time-synchronization was working. Some of them report the time in hrSystemDate.0, and some claim there's no such thing ;-) for i in 0 2 3 ; do snmpget -cprivate -v2c host$i hrSystemDate.0; done HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrSystemDate.0 = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrSystemDate.0 = STRING: 2005-8-28,4:25:35.0,+0:0 HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrSystemDate.0 = STRING: 2005-8-28,4:25:35.0,+0:0 What gives? I have 2 out of 18 boxes that are doing this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: paul beard (paulbeard) Date: 2005-08-28 09:37 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=201298 Yes, they are compiled the same way (if anyone can direct me to a crash course on making an RPM, send it on). Try - "snmpwalk ... nsModuleTable" against the two - "net-snmp-config -snmpd-module-list" *on* these two and look for the "host" module ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=112694&aid=1274980&group_id=12694 |
