Redhat 7.3,
netsnmp-5.0.7
When I try to start snmpd
snmpd -c test.conf udp6:161
the daemon does not start.
When I try to start snmpd
snmpd -c test.conf -L udp6:161
it shows:
" Error opening specified endpoint "udp6:161"
Server Exiting with code 1"
Try udpv6, tcp6,tcpv6 is same.
BTW:
ipv6 module has inserted correct, and other ipv6 server
can run normally.

jas_24, what platform/OS version (with what IPv6 stack) and
net-snmp version are you on? The original submitter
indicated that the issue is resolved now, i.e. fixed by a
later version. Can you try with a later version
(preferrably 5.3.0.1), please?

hello,
I'm very sorry for late reply. I'm using net-snmp 5.2.1 and
linux 2.4 kernel. I'll try using 5.3.0.1. Thank you very
much for the suggestion!
best regards.
