What version of our software are you using?

What platform are you on? (i.e. what does 'uname -a' report?)

    I have installed perl 5.8.0 from sunfeeware.sun.com:

I believe, that problem exist because type of member MAN3PODS
used by function WriteMakefile() from ExtUtils::MakeMaker
is still scalar (string) as expected in older perl (5.6.0 ?),
but in new version of perl (5.8.0) it apparently expect to be
    initialized to a hash reference.

    Just mu guess.....

    Thanks,

    Przemek

Thanks for the bug report! We've fixed the problem for the next release of the net-snmp package.
