NeSSi2 should run on Ubuntu, but to quote from a previous answer to a similar question:

We currently don't have a Linux/Ubuntu user in our team that can guide you to all the steps. NeSSi2 itself only needs to be unpacked at a location of your choice. For all other needed software (Java, MYSQL, ...) you should consult the documentation of Ubuntu or search http://askubuntu.com for solutions to your questions.
