NESide / News: Recent posts

a little news

The next release is 0.6.0, but I seem to having
trouble with FTP for the time being.\

I think you'll like how projects are being done, even
though only code files are supported for inclusion
in projects for now.

Status #2

This thing is nearly a full featured IDE now.
Supported features include:
Syntax-coloring, palette editing, name table editing,
and a plug-in system for extendability.

It's likely that I'll be adding support for projects
and the ca65 assembler (from the CC65 package:
http://www.cc65.org/\) in the next version.

NESide has been recoded in C#, and the syntax-coloring is now faster.

I hope to start on adding
the old wizards, and possibly start work on graphics
and nametable editing.

Sometime in the future, I'd like to write an optimizer
that could also be integrated with NESide...

Let's go

NESide is really getting good.
The latest release of this writing (0.1.0.14)
uses contributions from 2 people who really
helped me jump start the coding of this project.

Thanks to them and watch for the next update,

Future stuff

I realize noone has actually looked at this project
yet, so this is just to say what this is about.

The IDE uses a select and color method that is
somewhat slow and can cause flicker on older (my)
pc(s). If anyone wants to join and help out, that
would be great!

A compile option and graphics stuff should come
as soon as the basic editing is fairly stable.

Hope you like this and that you'll join!,
- Mike
