Read Me
NDE is the N{eophysis,eo,ew,iko,} Desktop Environment:
* a small window manager written from scratch to avoid the
complexity of usual desktop WM on embedded devices.
* a set of applications integrated with the WM:
* launcher
* panel
* home
* virtual keyboard
* notifyier
* a framework to create new ones :)
It was born to run on the OpenMoko Freerunner, but may be used easily
on other platforms (may be Nokia n900 and others)
and is the official DE of Neophysis.
It's status is *not mature* yet, quickcode was adopted to fast prototype
our ideas, so do not blame us if some or all parts are not
cleaned/optimized/elegant yet and above all if framework api changes too often!
Consider these sources in *prealpha status*, we released them due to pressure
from the community, and did not have time in the last weeks to clean it for
public quality.
Of course patches are welcome :)
*Warning*, due to lack of time and few developers the middlware is now
temporary reimplemented in the "ndbsd" daemon that is part of NDE too.
If you want to contribute to the middleware stack please consider to
fix and enhance the real neophysis middleware daemon: "NPD".
