Settings

Appearance, package sources, cloud sync, and everything else in one place — with the same values available from the neo config CLI.

Overview

The Settings page is where you configure NeoArch itself. Changes apply immediately; most settings are also readable/writable from the terminal.

What's in Settings

Appearance

  • Theme (light/dark) — neo config get theme / neo config set theme dark.
  • Logging behavior and where logs go (under ~/.config/neoarch).

Package & update behavior

  • Which sources are active (see Sources & Plugins).
  • Snapshot and backup defaults used before updates (Software Updates).
  • Schedule preferences for automatic update checks (neo schedule).

Cloud sync

  • Sign in with Supabase (OAuth) to sync favorites and bundles across devices.
  • Token caching is expiry-aware: credentials are cached locally and refreshed automatically while valid.

Terminal & notifications

  • Color handling (auto / NO_COLOR=1).
  • News feeds used by the Arch news panel.

How to use

  1. Open Settings from the sidebar (the gear icon).
  2. Change what you see — pick a theme, or set defaults for snapshots/backups.
  3. Sign in for sync — Cloud sync is optional; without it everything still works locally.
  4. Or use the CLI — same values, terminal style:

    :::bash
    neo config get theme
    neo config set theme dark
neo schedule set --days 1,3,5 --time 05:30 --enable

Good to know

  • Settings are stored under ~/.config/neoarch/ as JSON — see Configuration for the full layout.
  • Cloud sync only uploads what you choose (favorites + bundles); package operations never sent to the cloud.
  • Storage paths like backup/~/.cache/neoarch/ are not config — they're data; see Configuration.
