Dear BioCyc users and would-be users,
The Computational Biology Group at Genoscope, Evry, France, is proud
to announce the release of Cyclone 1.0 beta, an open-source Java
workbench designed to facilitate querying, computing and visualization
of BioCyc Pathway Genome Databases.
Cyclone maps the full BioCyc frame-based model onto an object
representation, which can be manipulated directly by Java programs.
Cyclone can both read and write BioCyc PGDBs, and can write its own
data in the CycloneML format.
Since Cyclone objects can also be stored in a relational database,
CycloneDB, queries can be written in SQL, and, more interestingly, in
Object Query Language (OQL), an intuitive and concise query language.... read more

Greetings,
Per the notice on the site status page, the CVS sync between
developer and anonymous CVS hosts is currently disabled. This is
due to some potential data corruption issues on the developer CVS
host. We are trying to keep the data sources separate for now, to
ensure the highest levels of data integrity (we have multiple
possible sources of good data to fix the corruption from,
including the anonymous CVS hosts, nightly tarballs, tape backups
and user's own working copies).... read more
