#668 crashes on OpenMotif 2.3 file dialog

OS: NetBSD 5.1
build: occurs on pkgsrc build, local build, or the pre-built binary, This has occured on 3 different x86 machines
Issue occurs when calling the file dialog
Motif version: 2.3.1nb5
Nedit version: 5.5
Crashes with X error anytime opening the motif file browser dialog. e.g. file open. Also occurs saving user prefs.

Error:

X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Value in failed request: 0xffb3b3b3

Motif file dialog does work in xpdf, mgv xmmx, and xrolodex

In pkgsrc, applied a patch from Red Hat Bug 199770 and resolved with nedit-5.5nb6.
