Hi together, =20 I start using nebula 2 at the moment and so I encounter different = problems from time to time. Hi I had a look at the workspaces and noticed most of the errors came from not adding ntoollib to some project dependancies in their build files, this is what I have been able to fix so far, hope it helps add - add ntoollib to settargetdeps in nlua.bld under begintarget nshlua and do the same for the nshpython target in npython.bld Download and Add opcode folder to Mangalore dir, I'm using opcode sources from opal(opal.sf.net), I think opcode should be added to mangalore's downloadable dependancy package nblender - change nNebulaUsePackage(nscriptabletools); to nNebulaUsePackage(ntoollib); and kernelServer->AddPackage(nscriptabletools); to kernelServer->AddPackage(ntoollib); in blender.cc I cant find CEGUIExpatParser_d.lib anywhere on my pc anyone who knows about it please advise LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'CEGUIExpatParser_d.lib' Larry Weya. max@work writes: > > > William Bierman wrote: >> >> Well with the current snapshot not everything compiles. Look for nscenenode::setvector3attr ; That the only function that might be used to set the color of the light ( as done into mvieverapp.cc#272 ) for sample I'm not aware of any, but a n2 file - used to load 3d object - is in fact a tcl script For what I know ( therefore barely nothing... ) nebula is not a plain script engine. In a point or other, you have to derive/create your own c++ classes. nviewer/mviewer - as their name stand - are just 3d objects viewers. I am trying to use Python with Nebula Device 2 for Windows and DirectX. The instructions talk about using the import npython but there is no npython component in the Nebula Device 2 download and rebuild all components with Visual Studio 7.1 does not produce one either. How does one build npython or where does it come from? Source releases are very infrequent, so I wouldn't recommend working off those. I think the usual approach to this is to checkout the source and put it into your own repository. I will need huge terrain so instead of re-inventing the wheel i decided to port clodterrain (contrib dir, old code) into current nebula2/mangalore code. a) so far, the ok parts : moved all classes into nebula regular tree ; compil as lib move all resources (textudes, shader, etc) into "export" or "data" too removed opende, replaced with direct ode objects convert lua script into tcl created a new standalone viewer, into magalore tree compilation, linking ok, compiling new terrain data (clod, tqt) works viewer launch b) now, what's wrong !!!!! the terrain doesn't render at all. the clod terrain IS loaded - i checked -, others dummy obj render well, moved the camera far away but it's not as simple as that !.
