The "<br />" tag is not parsed at all in DSLibris. It should show a hard return, allowing for additional blank lines between paragraphs, or non-paragraph blocks of text which are not indented or spaced as normal paragraphs.
The <br/> tag is parsed, but does not produce linefeeds if there is no character content on the line.
The fix will be to have <br/> do so, as Firefox apparently allows use of <br/> for inserting space, and that's good enough for me.
