[Ndiswrapper-general] essid not getting set

Hi again

I was wondering if you have seen this error situation ever and if you could
help

My card continues to load properly and is listed in iwconfig as wlan0,
however it does not have an ESSID and just shows "". I have tried setting it
manually and also through ifcfg-wlan0 in /etc/sysconfig/networking/

I know the adaptor is set to broadcast and has a very strong signal where I
am as Win XP detects and connects to the network easily.

As mentioned in one of the ndiswrapper forums I can set the essid if i set
the mode to Ad-hoc. I have seen a couple of mails regarding problems essid
and have been through the faqs and those steps don't help either

iwlist scan doesn't detect anything on wlan0

Any suggestions please?
