[Ndiswrapper-general] crash with kernel 2.6.4-rc1 (gentoo)

Hi all,

I have a problem with my newly installed Gentoo Linux. Previously I
had Fedora Linux (kernel 2.4.25) with which ndiswrapper and my SMC
2802W V2 worked perfectly. But when I load the module ndiswrapper with
kernel 2.6.4-rc1 with Gentoo, the system crashes. Before it crashes,
it shows several messages about which modes are enabled etc. The
messages displayed are the same like with LFS and kernel 2.6.3. Has
anybody an idea what the problem could be?

The symptoms:
Screen freezes and system hangs.
