Hi All,
I have some problems loading the driver for my belking 54G card.
It's broadcom based, full string:
---
15:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation: Unknown device 4320 (rev
03)
Subsystem: Belkin: Unknown device 7010
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 168, IRQ 11
Memory at 11000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=8K]
---
The driver bcmwl5 loads correctly for this device and the card gets
powered up. However i cannot send the essid of the card and iwconfig shows
up data that i think is weird.
Ouput iwconfig: (key X'ed out)
---
wlan0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:""
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.462GHz Access Point: FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF
Bit Rate:54Mb/s Tx-Power:16 dBm
RTS thr:2347 B Fragment thr:2346 B
Encryption key:XXXX-XXXX-XX Security mode:restricted
Power Management max timeout:0us mode:All packets received
Link Quality:100/0 Signal level:-10 dBm Noise level:-256 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:2 Missed beacon:0
---
i'm not able to set the essid, it stays blank. iwconfig wlan0 essid
myessid will make me wait 2 secs without doing anything.
When ignoring these facts and setting up the device with ifconfig a ping
results in this kernel message (debug enabled in ndiswrapper)
---
NdisMSendComplete 00000000
send_packets returning 00000103
---
What could be wrong ?
Used the cvs version with debugging enabled.
Patrick
