Hi ! When i boot Mandrake 9.2 on my notebook the pcmcia slot (with WPC54G card) fails to get powered on automatically. The solution (which I hope might help others) is to insert the following code in /etc/modules.conf instead of the code the README says: alias eth1 ndiswrapper pre-install ndiswrapper cardctl insert && sleep 3 post-install ndiswrapper /usr/local/bin/loaddriver 14e4 4320 /usr/local/share/ndiswrapper/bcmwl5.sys /usr/local/share/ndiswrapper/lsbcmnds.inf && ifup eth1 The "cardctl insert" forces cardmgr to power on the pcmcia slot. The card needs a couple of secs. to get configured so we make it sleep for 3 secs. && ifup eth1 has been appended to the last command to bring the interface up. These small changes makes the ndiswrapper work perfectly on my system. Before I made this change I had physically to unplug and insert the card after the system was booted and loading ndiswrapper manualy. /Henrik _________________________________________________________________ Få alle de nye og sjove ikoner med MSN Messenger http://messenger.msn.dk |
