You might try a different version of the bcmwl5 drivers. Or the bcm43xx wireless driver. If there's a power button for the card like on my laptop, you might try pushing it so the light comes on (if there is a light). It's a blue led button on this laptop, but it is an Fn+(radio tower) button on others. When I push it, I have to rmmod and modprobe the ndiswrapper drivers again before doing the configuration. The 4318 is a troublesome chipset. It may or may not work with the bcm43xx drivers. But should work with ndiswrapper. Additional information would probably help, or not. kernel version? ndiswrapper version? lspci -n vender:device numbers. lspci -v descriptions. yadda yadda yadda These are my specs: kernel: 2.6.21.3 ndiswrapper: 1.46 lspci -n: 06:02.0 0280: 14e4:4318 (rev 02) lspci -v: 06:02.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02) bcmwl5: version 4.100.15.5 circa 10/12/2006 (from sp34152.exe) bcmwl5(old): version 3.30.15.0 circa 7/17/2003 (original XP media edition) (both versions worked iirc, 32bit system) Your system may vary. cabextract can be used to extract the files from the .exe driver package. $ cabextract sp34152.exe HTH - James |
