Just in case, this should work with atmel_cs.  I'm all for making
ndiswrapper with as many drivers as possible, but if you want to help
with that, the latest version of ndiswrapper is a must.

Something wasn't installed properly.  Run ndiswrapper with "-D" and
see /tmp/ndiswrapper.dbg

But how come you get some non-trivial output from iwconfig?  Either you
were looking at another card, or atmel_cs was loaded, preventing
ndiswrapper from binding to the device.

The later is likely because the native Atmel drivers report the protocol
as "IEEE 802.11-DS" (see atmel.c in the kernel).

The version is not "wrong" per se, but who is going to unearth it to
reproduce your problem?
