Way ahead of you.  I went through every step of the process in the Wiki 
- that formed the structure of the message.  I also went through the 
FAQ, very carefully.

I suspect, given the rhythmic action of the LED on the card (1 flash per 
second) that the radio is off.  I cannot find a way to turn it on.

I should mention that this card is on my main server, to which other 
machines (mainly my laptop) are expected to connect via wireless.
