If you compile as above, you can load that module with 'insmod driver/ndiswrapper.ko' without installing it (note that if you run 'make install' later, it will recompile without debug information). The debug l= evel 6 causes _lot of_ messages and may flood your system log. To avoid it, yo= u can dynamically disable and enable debug messages, by loading the module with 'insmod driver/ndiswrapper.ko debug=3D0'. Then, just before downloading h= uge file at full speed (which causes problems), set debug level to 6 with 'ec= ho 6 > /proc/net/ndiswrapper/debug' - this will then start logging debug trace (which will go into system logs, such as /var/log/kern.log, /var/log/mess= ages etc) This information is in Wiki entry Bugs, but somehow very few people seem = to care about supplying useful debug trace. Without useful trace and simply mentioning what the problem is will not help. Giri |
