OK, according to this page, my card is "v1" hardware: http://kbserver.netgear.com/products/WG111.asp Which means I can use either this "initial driver release": http://kbserver.netgear.com/support_details.asp?dnldID=652 ...or this v2.1 release: http://kbserver.netgear.com/support_details.asp?dnldID=843 I had been using the initial release version. I just now switched to the v2.1 driver, and I see the same behavior, except that now the system also locks up anytime I "rmmod ndiswrapper". When I rmmod it, the system does one of three different things: 1. a kernel panic (but the trace is different than when I do "iwpriv wlan0 ndis_reset") 2. it just locks instantly without any output 3. it appears to *start* outputting some kernel panic info, but reboots before it's all printed. Weird! But in any case, both of the possible drivers for my card are giving extremely unstable behavior. Anthony DiSante http://encodable.com/ http://nodivisions.com/ |
