I'm having a similar problem - I run make distclean, make and
make install - all ok. I get an exact match for the card, copy
the files across successfully, and it tells me the driver and
harware are present. But once i run modprobe I get a series
    of "unresolved symbol" errors.

    /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptl/misc/ndiswrapper.o:
    unresolved symbol usb_init
    /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptl/misc/ndiswrapper.o:

    /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptl/misc/ndiswrapper.o:

    /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptl/misc/ndiswrapper.o:

    failed
    /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptl/misc/ndiswrapper.o: insmod
    ndiswrapper failed

I can't find a RFE reference to anything along these lines,
though I might just have missed it. Any fixes? Or is my kernel
    just out of date?
