We discussed privately creating an option to build NCO so that uses
<a href="http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/Software.html/packages/dods/index.html">DODS.</a>
I ran into some difficulties getting things underway in the right Linux environment to test the Makefile as you requested, so I got some help from the DODS development team.
I'm going to upload a patch (rather than paste it into this message). I'm not able to test it myself and so I'm just acting as a middleman. I'm happy to act as middleman, but if you want to contact the DODS group directly feel free.
Not sure how this is all going to work out, but I thought I'd at least try putting a note into of the public fora.
