This only work when no address parameters specified in the driver's section in nsd.tcl. Then it gets hostname and as usually happen hostname is just simple name, this is true for internal sites, all internet servers usually have fully qualified name configured. So, it is logically that reverse DNS is used to get the name. I would suggest to make driver's config parameter that would enable reverse DNS lookup having it disabled by default.
