Have you seen jhbuild? http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/jhbuild Haven't used this, but the gnome project use this for building modules straight out of CVS. If there's something that can be changed to make chroot setup easier, shout out. It would also be cool to come up with an SELinux config.
