Hi!

Well, I have corrected all of the places touched by the
latest Win ckeckin objected by Stephen (perfectly valid
objections...).
It is to a great extent my fault and partially due to
the bad timing we (i.e. Ibrahim) added those changes to
the code base, as already explained.
