Basically I have no feelings either way, but it could be: a) Left alone, since it is backward compatible. b) Integrate two separate formats in the same outbin.c (ala COFF and OBJ) since they share a lot of the same code. c) Implement it in an entirely separate source file (e.g., outabin.c) Like I said it doesn't matter to me anymore; the code is easily adaptable to any of the three options.
