NAPS2 has been working perfectly but now it is giving me the error message "no scanning device was found." I have recently changed from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. I tried downloading 4.1.1 instead of my 3.1.1 but I still received the same message. I tried selecting my device under a new profile or running my existing profiles but either way I receive that message. Can you please advice? I REALLY need my scanner up and running. Thank you! (PS I have tried the forums and discussion board to no avail.)
I have same problem with my Epson Perfection 3200 photo scanner. It isn't recognised by my Windows 10 Dell XPS connected via USB (the computer doesn't have a 1394 port) and Epson drivers for it no longer work and are not produced any more (see related posts). I would like to keep using it and downloaded NAPS2 but this can't find the scanner: neither TWAIN or WIA. Windows Device Manager shows the scanner connected with a yellow warning triangle against it, and "update driver" fails. So the computer must be aware of the connection of the scanner... Are there any NAPS2 settings I need to change, or is there a 'generic' driver that might work? Otherwise solution seem to be to purchase VueScan which apparently doesnt need drivers. Please advise, thank you.
