Error Notification Appears During Scan
Scan documents to PDF and other file types, as simply as possible.

I am making scan of Civil War Diary of my ancestor.
Here are setting:
400 DPI
8.5 X 11 scan size in inches
Canon 9000F scanner with latest software update
Function: Save PNG to file
During the final phase of scanning, the attached screenshot shows an error message received each scan. After clicking on it, the scan continues and the image is saved into your software screen.
I am not sure if this error my fault for some settings I made, or if it is a software issue.
Please help me with this as the scans are going to be part of an effort to write a history of the person, Cyrenius Hinshaw, who was a Civil War soldier.

I removed the $ (dollar sign) thinking this was an amount icon, not a code… should I put that back in?

Please check your Auto Save settings (in your profile settings). This can be caused if you put a directory path in the "File path" textbox instead of a file name pattern (e.g. you should be using "C:\Somewhere\image$(nnn).png" instead of "C:\Somewhere"). If that's not the issue, make sure you have permissions to save at your chosen path.
