Hello,

I am considering using NAPS2 to scan documents with a Brother DCP-T780DW printer/scanner connected to my Lenovo IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14Q8X9 laptop, which runs Windows 11 on a Snapdragon ARM processor.

Could you please confirm whether NAPS2 supports scanning with this Brother scanner on Windows 11 ARM?

I understand that the Brother iPrint&Scan software may not support scanning on my laptop, so I am looking for an alternative.

In particular, I would like to know whether NAPS2 can detect and use the scanner, whether a compatible Brother scanner driver is required, and whether there are any known limitations with Snapdragon/ARM computers.

My main requirements are scanning documents to PDF, using the automatic document feeder (ADF), and being able to add further pages to an existing scan before saving the PDF.

Thank you for your assistance.

It looks like that scanner supports standard network scanning with ESCL so it should work without needing any manufacturer driver, but I can't provide hard guarantees for any particular scanner model.

    Thank you for your reply.

Could I also ask whether the Canon MAXIFY GX2060 supports eSCL network scanning with NAPS2?

I am also considering this printer for my Lenovo Snapdragon laptop running Windows 11 ARM. Knowing whether it is likely to work with NAPS2 would be very helpful.

    Thank you for your assistance.

Looks like it. You can also check for yourself here, Apple keeps a list: https://mfi.apple.com/account/airprint-search
