I've raised this issue before in the list. The reason behind it is that slingshot looks for a line that says "Format Version 7.00" at the top. For VS.NET 2003, that line says "Format Version 8.00". Slingshot throws an error and dies a rather horrible death. Our developers have gone spelunking in the code to modify it, and I think I have even asked who to send that stuff to, but didn't get an answer. Also: slingshot does not know what to do (last I checked) with CF stuff in a sln file. Don't know how our dev team got around that. Well, from what I can tell, it looks like slingshot doesn't support the new solution file format (Upgrading from VS.NET 2000 to 2003 requires you to "convert" your solution that's not backwards compatible with 2000). Sorry I didn't give more details. Here's what I get: C:\Solutions\MatchSolution>slingshot -nant -sln MatchSolution.sln -map http://lo calhost/MatchWebProj c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MatchWebProj Unhandled Exception: System.ApplicationException: this is not a 'Microsoft Visua l Studio Solution File, Format Version 7.00' file at SLiNgshoT.Core.Solution.Read(String path, Hashtable uriMap) at SLiNgshoT.Core.Driver.WriteSolution(SolutionWriter writer, TextWriter text Writer, String sln, Hashtable parameters, Hashtable uriMap) at SLiNgshoT_Console.Main(String[] args) Thanks, -Jason -----Original Message----- From: Ian MacLean [mailto:ianm@ActiveState.com]=20 Sent: Wednesday, April 30, 2003 9:55 AM To: Ja...@ma... What do you mean it doesn't support VS.NET 2003 ? does it not build=20 against the new framework ? or are you saying slingshot does not yet=20 support the vs2003 project formats ?
