Hi,


I am doing my final year B.E. degree in Anna University, India.


Iplanned to do my project as network monitoring system using netsaint 0.0.6 .


Intially i installed it in Redahat linux 6.2, the netsaint part is worked well, but not the web interface part.


then i installed it in RHLinux 7.1, webinterface part is working, but not the netsaint 0.0.6 .


whenever i start the netsaint it tells, that the netsaint.lock file is not found in /usr/local/netsaint/var/.


now what i have to do ?


Also i want to know about, how to configure the windowsNT m/cs and linu m/cs to monitor the services of it.


I mean in netsaint.cfg file & hosts.cfg file !


Third one is i want to know the basic concept behind the netsaint funtionality.


I hope from tcpip packets it collect (monitor) the datas and displays.
