Minor Tweak to nagg

I added height and width attributes to the image tags of the index page. This stops the page from shifting around while loading images. Thank to Jim from my local LUG for the suggestion.

nagg-0.9.9 now with Watermarking

nagg-0.9.9 is posted. The big difference is support for basic watermarking.

Watermarking Working

I just committed changes to CVS that contain the watermarking feature. It's basic, but it work and it subtle enough to not take away from the images thus marked.

The only drawback is it modifies the original image instead of watermarking on the fly like I had originally wanted to do. Perhaps one day when I get around to learning some PHP I'll make watermarks work on the fly.

Just to be safe I make sure it prompts you before modifying any images and gives you a chance to back out and make a backup.

Working on next release

I'm kind of slowing down now to give nagg a chance to get used and to give bugs a chance to be discovered and squashed. However, for the next version I'm going to try and add image watermarking to help protect your images.

A minor thing I've added in the CVS version is a $HOME/.nagg directory to hold user specific settings.

nagg-0.9.7 released - Fixed a Big Bug

This is essentially 0.9.6 except that this one actually works. ;) I made a mistake and forgot to set a default variable, leaving it at null. And later in the script one of the error checking spots checks for this directory to be null and considers it an error. The end result was that no matter what, when you ran nagg it would just print the usage menu.

It's fixed now, sorry about that.

nagg-0.9.6 released - Better Error Handling + new features

So, I think I'm nearly finished with nagg as far as adding features and tweaking things. The primary purpose of this release was to handle errors better. Before, things like spaces in file names would cause all kinds of odd behavior. Or accidentally not having the captions all on one line in .captions caused the creation of .html files that you just didn't want, and caused the index to not work correctly.... read more

nagg works in cygwin

I just discovered that nagg works fine in cygwin. Provided that you make sure sed, ImageMagick, and awk are installed. It runs kind of slow, but, it works. Also, since the tools used by nagg are so common it may work on other platforms. If you find it does let me know.

I'm working on the next release of nagg. I'm improving error handling and adding a few minor features.

nagg-0.9.1 released!

This is the second release of nagg, only a few short days after the initial release of 0.9.0. The biggest thing I've done is speed up the thumbnail and slide creation time significanly. In 0.9.0 it took about 5 minutes to process 100 images. Now, it takes between 1.5 ans 2.5 minutes to process the same 100 images.
