SVN

I have decided not to use SVN for verison control, indeed updates will only be made as files with python source code. Code submissions can be made through the forum or Admin email

Windows Installation on YouTube

360NextLevel has kindly posted a great how-to on YouTube for getting N900 Notifier working on your N900 and Windows. Check it out if you're having problems installing on your Windows box.

Version 0.4

I know it's only be literally minutes since version 0.3 but 0.4 was in the works and I posted 0.3 too quickly. With that in mind, you should grab the latest (0.4) and enjoy support for Ubuntu, Mac OS X and now Windows (support in Windows needs testing!)

OS X and Windows users need Growl installed, and the growlnotify package.

New Releases and Procedures

All new releases will have a version number, the latest being 0.3. Whenever we release a new version of either the client or server (or both) we will bump both component's version numbers, and list any changes.

With this in mind, I'd like to announce version 0.3 which now adds Mac OS X support with notifications being provided by Growl.

Users need the growlnotify package, available from "Extras" inside the Growl installer DMG.

Latest Client

The latest version of the client is now available to download, we're focussing development here for now, and we think it's nearly completed (in terms of features, we will still fix bugs)

Contact Lookup

We now have a "real" method of looking up contacts. Rather than having to manually create a dictionary of contacts, N900 Notifier can search your phonebook automatically.

Feedback

We really need feedback, whether that be good or bad! We are aware that a nice GUI is needed, and a lot more polish around the rough edges but we won't know what people want unless we're told!

Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
