#4 NASCAR Racing

I'm looking at building a NASCAR event monitor for mre. I have found an ESPN.com page that has race results, and updates the page in close-enough-to-real time as the race is happening.

I'm guessing this will be similar to other monitored events, in that the venues will be the same pretty much from here on out, or change very little. That being said, I assume I can create a NASCAREvent.dat file containing part of the name of the tracks, no big deal there.

Here is the status page:

And during a race, the 'Winner' column is displayed as such:

<Driver Name>

Now, viewing the source of that page, I can pretty much tell what needs to be parsed out and monitored. I just need to figure the code to parse it for me.

Now I just need to come up with a good NASCAREvent.php to begin testing...
