The problems I wrote bout in an earlier version of this post, were induced by an faulty TLS2591 sensor. After changing the sensor the software works now as planned. Sorry!
There is a small issue with the log files. In the data-log-file the voltage from the rain sensor uses a comma instead a decimal point like the data from the other sensors. That makes confusion when using the data in Excel etc.

Hi
The file loads file into Excel
I note in the file that RainVolts is always 3,
So this file does not have error.
Do you have a log error that fails to load so I can see it?

yeah in the row RainVolts its showing 3, but the 0,3 volts is moved to the next row. When you import in to Excel, the NELM value (the next row) is showing 3. So all values are shifted 1 row to the right.
See attachment.
I can confirm that a fix is in place for this issue on the next release. There are some major updates in the pipeline which are close to release very soon,

Robert

I made a new device based on the latest documentation (121-7), in addition with all the fixes from the discussion board (voltage regulator etc.). Im using the SparkFun weather station including the rain bucket gauge. In operation it seems there is some noise in the signal line. The rain bucket shows fantastic amounts of rain. After ten minutes of operation it shows 2500 l/m² during dry weather. As a first shot, I tried the 1 M Ohm pull down between signal and ground from Document 119-6, what reduces the error a bit, but didn't resolve the problem to the end.
Any idea is welcome.
There are a ton of fixes coming in the next release, all around the sparkfun weather kit (that means windspeed, wind direction and rain tipping bucket).
That is firmware 122 for the fixes I am referring to.
If you find my email address (gmail or yahoo) -send me a note and I can get you access to the beta files.

Robert

Which log file (the name and version of the app would help me).
There is quite a lot of work happening right now with the firmware/windsows app/tcpiplogger and logging in general.
It should not be too long before a lot of updates appear here.

Robert
It's the data-log. See attached file. Here "RainVolts".
