If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
I believe this is a limitation set by the hosting provider. You could place your photos inside of the public html dir, for example in /home/gozui0/public_html/images_collect. Of course, the images are now accessible to anyone from the web, but that's not really a problem.
Hope this helps you out, otherwise ask your hosting provider where the best place is to store your photos.

php version 4.4.9
MySQL: 5.0.67
Perl version: 5.8.8
Apache version: 1.3.41 (Unix)
and get following error
