[myhdl-list] Removal of globals

I appreciate that many of the emails I sent about eliminating globals 
were rather in the noise given they were parted of a rather protracted 
thread on the issue.

It would be great to have some feedback on the approach that I've 
implemented here:

I made various comments on the current implementation in that thread 
"Global state and multiple instances".
