I agree, but I have not been able to use the new features
myself yet.

First, do all the tests run? I thought there were still
some issues.

Most importantly - documentation? There should be something
in the manual. And also a whatsnew document so that people
know the purpose of the release.

I think there is one really major feature and that we
should set the spotlight on it to get attention. It's a
good example of how we can support functionality which
is not necessarily present in the target languages.
