[myhdl-list] Simulator explained

Hi everyone,

I am really happy with myhdl and finished my project in this semester
with it. But now, I want to learn how myhdl does work under the hood.
It's quite easy in general, but there are some "black holes", one of
them is the Simulator.

Would anyone be kind enough to explain how does it work? Either here on
this mailinglist or via a wiki entry, or an already existing page or
whatever.
I want to know the meaning of the variables which are used (_siglist,
waiters, etc.), how they are used and what their benefit is.

I hope somebody has the time to do so.
