I just submitted a pull-request with some mods to
the tests and a start on some documentation.  At
this point I would suggest we create a 0.9-dev branch,
merge the mep-107 to the 0.9-dev, and create a
pull-request to Jan's repo.

It will be easier to comment on the changes etc. in
the pull-request.
