Especially, if you pick a specific topic like "MyHDL Python3 support". But I have no experience with GSoC and appreciate Sebastien's input; that it can be some work with low probability of success. But I don't see how it can hurt to apply (other than the cost of someones time). Jan D already started an open-task list, this could be the start of the project list (http://www.myhdl.org/doku.php/dev:tasks, this page looks like it needs updating). One successful method might be to solicit for applicants in local Universities. It might take some extra effort to encourage students if we want the effort to be successful. Regards, Chris |
