I just finished the first draft of the translation of Martin Gaitan's Introductory document to English. I am sure I made some mistakes. But I know I did not get Generators right. It is not too hard to understand them in Python. But I think my larger problem is understanding what they represent in hardware. I presume that my mental model of hardware is too simplistic. And it is not just me. I suspect that other newbies will have a hard time understanding generators. So what do generators represent in hardware? what is the difference between @instance, @always, and @always_comb from a hardware perspective? There is a memory example in the documentation, but that did not clear it up in my mind either. Much appreciated. -- Regards Christopher Lozinski Check out my iPhone apps TextFaster and EmailFaster http://textfaster.com Expect a paradigm shift. http://MyHDL.org |
