There was a post I believe in October in the gEda mailing list, where he
(Stephen Williams) announced that he would be gone for a longer period
of time. In that time frame the Icarus server must have crashed, as the
website was down for a long time afterwards. I think it was end of
November that it came up again.

If your discussion fell in that time, he might just have missed it.
