Teralogic was originally bought by Oak Technologies. Then, Oak was bought by Zoran. Several people have contacted each of these companies while they owned the technology, but noone ever got a useful response. (Way back when they first made the Janus design, a rep from Teralogic sent some messages to mailing lists looking for people interested in working on Linux support. But, by the time the cards started getting popular, Teralogic had changed their tune and refusing or ignoring any Linux inquiries.) Since the companies were not cooperating, a developer by the name of Mike Bourgeous began reverse engineering the Windows driver. He used an older version that had been distributed with debug symbols, and without any EULA. He made good progress on getting the chip initialized, and figuring out the i2c communications. But, he had to leave on a two year commitment for his church, without any access to e-mail/computers/etc. When he left, things quickly ground to a halt. That was about a year ago, and he will not return for another year. --- George Morgan <geo...@sp...> wrote: > From the looks of this web page (below) the TL880 is owned by > Zoran...
