Hello !
Found this great bot and tried it.
I have a local OpenFire server running under windows and MyHal cannot connect.
So far I tracked this down, the reason seems to be, that usually in a "local domain",
there is no SRV record for a XMPP server and/or even no DNS. In this case, the bot only throws errors.
I have the same problem using agsXMPP in their simple examples.
The solution for this problem is to use the connection like
this:
Jid jid = new Jid("mbu", "mbg.local", "test");
xmppCon.Password = "x";
xmppCon.Username = jid.User;
xmppCon.Server = jid.Server;
xmppCon.AutoResolveConnectServer = false;
//xmppCon.ConnectServer = "rx.mbg.local";
xmppCon.ConnectServer = "192.168.26.3";
So, this should be controlled via configuration file.
Is there any chance, that this project becomes updated??
Thanks a lot!

Hi !
I tried it by myself.
Change "Core.cs".
Replace the following two lines:
_xmpp = new XmppClientConnection(ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["JabberServer"]);
_xmpp.Username = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["JabberId"];
with this lines:
_xmpp = new XmppClientConnection(ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["JabberServer"]);
if(ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["JabberConnect"] != null)
{
_xmpp.ConnectServer = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["JabberConnect"];
_xmpp.AutoResolveConnectServer = false;
}
_xmpp.Username = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["JabberId"];
And change the "App.conf" for the Console and the Server projects
accordingly [add the "JabberConnect" property].
Works now!
