  • While I think db choice is great (I prefer postgres, but to each his own) and think you did good in providing a mysql solution for ant's postgres solution, it must be said however, that it doesn't deserve to be a fork of the original. I would have rather seen that this would be incorporated into ant so that an ant user can choose which db's to use. Now we have have a 99% identical project being maintained seperatly. Have you tried getting in touch with the ant deveoloper? His project is also here on sourceforge. If not, I can understand the need to fork, but then fork it so it supports both db's. 2 developers on one project is better then 2 developers on 2 projects. Even a patch would have been better then a fork imo.
