Hi All > I'll be sure to post here when I have some good news... I just heard from Softield that they have decided to produce what was going to be the MX7 exclusively for a single brand name customer. Early next year we might find out who is going to release that new small form factor PDA, whether it will still run linux, and exactly what features it has (probably more features or it won't stand a chance in the current market). It's a shame but I get the impression that Softfield did not have the resources to fund a large (ie. efficient) production run and all the support and development required. In the meantime has anyone got any suggestions for a small, low cost linux PDA? I think some Pocket PC machines can be converted but I don't really know which ones are good value etc. There are some Palm based machines (like the Sony Clie TJ25 or 35 for example, very cheap) which are close to the MX7 spec - but it might be hard to get linux to run on them...
