I have checked in a new test program to the CVS tree. Right now it is just a video player, but I'll add mp3 and image support to it later. It is really only intended as a demo for what you can do with the mvp libraries, but I think it is the best video player I've written yet. And it was written in just a couple hours, whereas the other ones took weeks! :-) It has it's problems (ie, it uses too much cpu time), but it is pretty slick. It is basically just a file browser. It displays a list of files in the current directory on the left, along with file size and type on the right. You navigate the directories by using OK on the remote to either select directories to change to or files to play. When you highlight a video, it starts playing it as a thumbnail in the lower right corner of the screen. If you select it with OK, then it goes full screen and the GUI widgets disappear. When you hit STOP, it goes back to being a thumbnail and you can continue browsing your filesystem. Also, when playing in full screen mode, you can pause, fast forward, and rewind the video. You can also jump to a section in the video by using the number keys (0% to 90% into the file). You can also bring up a rather useless menu with the MENU key. Anyway, please try it out and let me know what you think. Thanks. Jon |
