images are referred to as absolute filename, rsp. URIs. Now
this also sabotages your hint of using Apache as a proxy, in
case you want to link the proxy to somewhere else then
/remote in your Apache's tree.
Recommendation: use relative references. They work in
whatever situation: redirected, proxied, whatever.
