This page will grow as I think of FAQs that need to be added...

1. (rawsock) socket problems [fatal] at /usr/lib/perl5/Net/RawIP.pm line 620.

This usually means you are not running must as root. Its an annoying but I suppose necessary security mechanism in linux to prevent access to raw sockets as a standard user. sudo should work otherwise su to root and see if that fixes the issue
